Is It Possible To Play A Playstation 3 In High-def Without An Hdcp Compatible Monitor?

I have a 20 inch Acer AL2016W Widescreen monitor with analog and digital input. Is it possible to connect a playstation 3 to this and have it work? Has anyone done this before?

    Yes, like what Adam D said. I connect my PS3 to my monitor using something like this http://www.amazon.com/KWorld-SA220-PlusT... Using the component cables I can also use it to watch bluray movies. I hope this helps.

    the HDCP checks are only done when playing HDCP protected videos (Blu-Ray video discs), there’s no reason you can’t play Gran Turismo 4 on your monitor, but you will not be able to watch Iron Man on blu-ray for example.
